The Day-To-Day Activities
1. Associate in IP Network design principles, architecture and roadmap. Work with team lead to develop short-term to mid-term strategy roadmap and evolution strategy for Mobile IP Core, ISP Core, Enterprise Core, Fixed Broadband Core, Cloud Networking & Public DNS . Serve as PIC for projects execution, product & technology roadmap and updates.
2. Architect, assess and maintain network architecture blueprint to ensure near to mid-term network architecture in-line with AOP (Annual Operating Plan) or business plan. Coordinating with the team lead on AOP strategy and requirement.
3. Liaison with other departments and divisions to assess and provide solutions to fulfil business needs.
4. Manage and advise overall E2E IP network solution assessment, evaluation and recommendation.
5. Take part in topology design for E2E IP network, review of vendor solution, deployment and capacity management of the IP nodes.
6. Participate in RFPs (Request for Proposal), IPF (Investment Proposal), BC (Business Cases) & PR/PO (Purchase Requisition/Purchase Order) preparation, solution review with costing & seeks for team lead endorsement for project rollout.
7. Involve in IP Network cost optimization and network modelling, including vendor evaluation and costing comparison.
8. Work as a team to conduct technical feasibility studies and strategy for current and future technology.
9. Engage with vendors on project requirement and information gathering.
10. Method of Procedure (MOP) preparation and coordination for IP connectivity integration between vendors or multi-vendors and operation on new system hardware/software deployment/upgrade/optimization.
11. Assist and joint troubleshooting with operation and vendors for critical incident.
12. Project completion handover documentation preparation.
13. Perform IP nodes performance and capacity observation and produce weekly report as well as IP network auditing.
