The Day-To-Day Activities

  • Planogram Development & Implementation:
    • Creating detailed planograms (diagrams of how products should be arranged on shelves or displays) to optimize product placement, visibility, and sales.
  • Visual Merchandising Execution:
    • Implementing visual merchandising guidelines in stores to create attractive and engaging displays that highlight products and promotions. This includes window displays, in-store signage, product grouping, and overall store aesthetics.
  • Store Layout Optimization:
    • Assisting in optimizing store layouts to improve customer flow and product accessibility.
  • Prop & Fixture Management:
    • Ensuring the proper use and maintenance of visual merchandising props, fixtures, and display materials.
  • Seasonal & Promotional Displays:
    • Designing and setting up displays for seasonal campaigns, promotions, and new product launches.
  • Compliance & Consistency:
    • Ensuring that all stores adhere to established planogram and visual merchandising standards to maintain brand consistency.
  • Training & Support (for store staff):
    • Potentially providing guidance and training to store staff on proper merchandising techniques and planogram adherence.
  • Feedback & Reporting:
    • Providing feedback to the Merchandising Manager on the effectiveness of visual merchandising strategies and identifying areas for improvement based on in-store observations.

About You

  • Candidate must possess at least a Diploma or Certificate in Visual Merchandising, Retail Design, Marketing, or a related field.
  • Minimum of 6 years of experience in visual merchandising or a related retail environment, with a strong portfolio showcasing previous work.
  • Proven ability to interpret and implement planograms effectively.
  • Strong understanding of visual merchandising principles, retail aesthetics, and current industry trends.
  • Proficiency in using design software (e.g., Adobe Creative Suite - Photoshop, Illustrator) and planogram software (e.g., JDA Space Planning, Apollo) is highly desirable.
  • Excellent creative and artistic skills with an eye for detail and aesthetics.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, capable of collaborating with store staff and management.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team, managing multiple tasks and deadlines.
  • Physical ability to set up displays, move fixtures, and work on the retail floor.
