Job Summary
The candidate is responsible to scout, negotiate, and launch new digital revenue streams to accelerate U Mobile’s "Telco-to-Techco" transition. Focused on expansion rather than maintenance, the role leads the end-to-end commercial lifecycle for new partnerships in Gaming, OTT, and Fintech. The candidate will execute strategic tenders upon approval from management and work with Product and Base Marketing team to support the design of innovative prepaid, postpaid, fibre and broadband bundles. The Manager bridge the gap between commercial deal-making and technical execution, ensuring new services move rapidly from concept to revenue-generating reality.
The Day-To-Day Activities
- Strategic Sourcing
- Perform regular market scans to identify trending digital services (Gaming, OTT, Fintech) that U Mobile currently lacks.
- Actively scout and source new digital services, platforms, and merchant partners that align with U Mobile’s consumer lifestyle strategy.
- Lead the entire commercial lifecycle: from initial prospecting and value proposition design to contract negotiation and deal closure.
- Project Management
- Lead the end-to-end implementation of upcoming tender projects, ensuring all technical requirements, legal compliance, and commercial milestones are met for a successful launch and roll out.
- Serve as the Project Management Lead for "special bets"—ad-hoc strategic projects assigned by management that require rapid execution and cross-departmental coordination (Legal, Tech, Regulatory, and Finance).
- Ownership of the project until it is fully operational, ensuring the transition from a signed contract to a live, billing service.
- Work closely with the technical and product teams to translate commercial terms into functional requirements, ensuring the final product matches the strategic intent.
- Digital Product Bundling & Convergence
- Negotiate exclusive offers with OTT, Gaming, and Productivity partners to be integrated directly into U Mobile rate plans.
- Collaborate with the Base Management team to ensure these offers can be effectively upsell/cross sell to the right customer segments in the Base Marketing Personalisation Customer Journey plan
- Collaborate with product team to explore potential bundling initiatives for customer acquisition
- Optimize the "path to purchase" for digital offers within the U Mobile ecosystem (MyUMobile App, web portals).
