Job Summary

  • To manage & process Law Enforcement Agency (LEA) request as per U Mobile's standard operating procedure (SOP).
  • Provide support and end to end monitoring and coordination with internal and external stakeholder for specific MCMC requirements in order to ensure U Mobile interest and position are protected in executing MCMC key projects and within acceptable regulatory sound environment.
  • Provide engagement support with LEA key stakeholder engagement and to ensure all support required by U Mobile can be obtained

The Day-To-Day Activities

1) Providing Information to Law Enforcement.
Generate information from internal systems to provide to Law Enforcement Agencies such as PDRM, MCMC, MACC, assist their investigations. This includes
- Adhere to the internal process in releasing the requested information
- Log in law enforcements' request and maintain updated database of law enforcements' request
- Timely and accurate information released
- Prepare monthly report relating to LEA request

2) Identify and escalate high profile cases where public interest is involved, and those relates to internal U Mobile staff etc.

3) Law Enforcement Agencies (LEA) Stakeholder Management
- Establish close rapport with key Law Enforcement Agencies (LEA) stakeholders, understand their positions and priorities, organise and participate in relevant events with them in order to ensure their support in meeting U Mobile's position and goals in the related issues concerned

4) Special Assignments
- Undertake special assignments, ad-hoc projects and related duties when required
- To participate in relevant projects and initiatives by MCMC/KKMM to ensure UM interest is protected (compliance to Multimedia Act 1998 while mitigating & maximizing risks to UM)

5) Attend to court Matters
Represent U Mobile to attend court hearing if required and or to provide written statement (form 90A) to LEA in relation to the information released to the LEA in order to comply with the related laws.

Job Requirement

  • Qualification - Minimum Degree/Diploma in IT / Business / Finance/Law or related field in Telecommunications
  • Experience 1 to 2 years working experience with a similar type of work is an advantage
  • Must able to start work immediately
  • Good Command of written and spoken English
