The Day-To-Day Activities

  • Lead End-to-End Personalization, Targeting & Decisioning Use Cases
    • Lead and be accountable for the end-to-end lifecycle of machine learning and rule-based decisioning solutions for personalization, including targeting, pricing, and recommendations across products.
    • Set the strategic direction by translating business objectives into modelling and targeting strategies, success metrics, and a prioritized delivery roadmap.
    • Own commercial outcomes, ensuring initiatives deliver measurable take-up, ARPU uplift, and revenue growth.
  • Own Modelling Data Strategy & Training Dataset Layer
    • Define and govern training datasets, feature tables, and labels to ensure long-term scalability and reuse.
    • Establish data standards and controls to ensure modelling data accuracy and alignment with business definitions.
    • Continuously evolve the modelling data foundation to enable new use cases, improved performance, and faster deployment.
  • Build, Enhance & Operationalise Models and Decision Rules
    • Oversee the development and enhancement of machine learning models and rule-based decisioning for targeting, pricing, and recommendations.
    • Drive continuous optimisation of model performance to maximise business impact.
    • Ensure operational readiness, scalability, and stability of models for BAU personalization and campaign execution.
  • Drive Targeting Strategy & Commercial Optimisation
    • Act as the key decision partner to Product and Business Analytics in designing and optimising targeting strategies using model outputs.
    • Define decision frameworks on how scores, rules, and segments translate into offers, pricing, and campaign logic.
    • Continuously refine targeting strategies to maximise take-up, ARPU, and revenue impact.
  • Own Performance Measurement, Uplift & Governance
    • Define and own governance frameworks to measure model and targeting performance, including take-up, ARPU, and revenue uplift.
    • Lead monitoring and intervention on model stability, performance drift, and targeting effectiveness against control or baseline.
    • Provide performance insights and recommendations to senior stakeholders to guide optimisation and investment decisions.

About You

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Data Science, Statistics, Mathematics, Computer Science, or related quantitative fields.
  • Relevant professional experience with demonstrated depth in applied analytics and decisioning may be considered in lieu of formal academic specialisation.
  • Minimum 3 years of experience in data analytics, data science, or applied machine learning within a commercial or production environment.
  • Strong expertise in SQL and working with large-scale, complex datasets in production systems.
  • Strong practical experience using Python (or similar) for data analysis, feature engineering, and model development.
  • Demonstrated experience leading or overseeing the development, validation, and deployment of predictive models and decisioning logic.
  • Proven ability to evaluate, improve, and scale modelling approaches to ensure robustness, stability, and long-term usability in business environments.
  • Experience defining and governing performance measurement frameworks, including uplift analysis and outcome tracking.
  • Strong commercial mindset, able to translate business objectives into effective analytics and decisioning strategies.
  • Clear and influential communicator, able to explain complex technical topics to non-technical stakeholders.
  • Leadership-oriented and structured, comfortable providing guidance and operating in a cross-functional environment.
