Job Descriptions
Strategic
- Develop goals, strategies, and plans needed to achieve the portfolios vision and build the capabilities to enable optimal delivery that aligns with strategic intent and input from relevant stakeholders.
- Constantly monitor IT and relevant business trends, emerging tools and technologies to continually improve processes, delivery, technical architecture and best practices for fintech solution department.
- Recommend strategic business opportunities to deliver medium to long-term benefit and growth to the organization and its customers.
- Translate the strategic vision into requirements and drive the fulfilment of these technical requirements.
- Analyze business change drivers to determine business, solution and information technology requirements.
- Identifying and implementing technology trends that will be able to support the future success of the business.
- Provide input to the strategic direction of technology investments to assist in the development of the fintech architecture and maximize the return on technology investment.
- Work with strategic partners to workshop possible collaborations to take new innovative ideas to market.
Solution Engineering
- Excellent attention to detail as frequently needs to examine functional specifications and translate them into system guidelines that shape project development as well as find ways to align projects with an understanding of enterprise-level system’s architecture and capabilities to effectively solution the services to meet business objectives.
- Conduct research on existing systems and devise solutions that work within those systems.
- Ability to handle business users through solutions workshop and demonstration, answer questions regarding software capabilities and requirements, and work to resolve issues that arise during the development cycle.
- To be able to effectively workshop solutions with the business areas and external partners to determine feasibility or detail the design. Be able to see through technical flaws and implications from vendor proposed solution.
- Determine, prepare, maintain and keep tracking on changes to the centralized solution documentation through the extraction of documents from vendors and internal technology stakeholders.
- Ensure all solution rollout and change requests are up to date on the centralized technical specification document, solution network architecture, and solution asset register.
- Review requirements for projects within the scope of the value stream or impacting processes and systems.
- Understanding the use cases (and/or user stories) in order to contribute to the design of the architecture for the products to be built.
- Collaborating with the appropriate functions and users to identify & evaluate technology platforms for delivering the company’s products and internal services.
Project Delivery
- Work effectively with product managers/owners, vendors and internal team members to ensure delivery against agreed priorities.
- Overall responsibility for planning, executing, tracking and managing cost, schedule, and scope for projects in the portfolio.
- Implement mechanisms to monitor, manage and provide progress on all software development activities.
- Lead and manage the IT teams to deliver solutions that meet the needs of users to the relevant business areas.
- Conduct project post mortems to identify successful project elements and improvement areas.
Stakeholder Management
- Build and maintain strong, long-lasting client relationships.
- Develop trusted advisor relationships with key accounts, customer stakeholders and executive sponsors.
- Manage collaboration and relationships between different departments in delivering solutions to meet customers’ business needs.
- Effectively communicate project expectations to team members and stakeholders in a timely and clear fashion.
- Clearly communicate the progress of monthly/quarterly initiatives to internal and external stakeholders.

Project & Change Delivery
- Capable to manage simple-to-moderate complexity enhancements, change requests & projects end-to-end; through identification of business requirements, technical capabilities & needs with goals of providing quality solutions throughout the SDLC with periodic status updates to stakeholders adopting agile methodologies with product backlog prioritization along with Business or Product owners, with daily stand-ups, sprint planning & reviews with a retrospective session.
- Work effectively with Product Managers and Product Owners to ensure delivery against agreed priorities;
- Overall responsibility for planning, executing, tracking and managing cost, schedule, and scope for all projects in the portfolio.

Budget
- Assist in the forecasting, planning and development of the fintech portfolio’s budget
- Manage and optimize departmental budget, ensuring all expenditure is in line with the agreed budgets, including projects.
- Ensure Yearly CAPEX and OPEX plans are put in place with proper input and information for fintech solution roadmaps that align with the Business team.
- Support the creation of the business case for initiatives and projects in functional areas.
Staffing
- Ensure skills and experience of team are consistent with its scientific, technological and business needs for providing quality in present and future services to departmental needs.
- Provide support for all staff within the department in keeping with U Mobile’s values.
Others
