Role
As a member of the Business Development Department
(BD) at U Mobile, the role offers exposure to initiatives that shape the
business across strategy formulation, growth acceleration, performance
management, and execution delivery. This role will work closely with the BD
team while collaborating cross-functionally with teams across Commercial,
Finance, Product, Operations and other relevant functions.The role provides opportunities to contribute to
high-impact and complex projects, gaining visibility into strategic
decision-making while playing a hands-on role in driving selected initiatives
forward.
This role, primarily responsible for independently
managing assigned workstreams or defined project components to address business
challenges. This includes conducting structured research, performing
quantitative and qualitative analysis, supporting project and performance
tracking, and developing data-driven insights and recommendations for
management consideration.
The Day-To-Day Activities
Business Analysis & Insight Generation
Conduct structured analysis to support strategic and commercial decision-making.
• Frame problem statements and develop analytical approaches
• Perform quantitative and qualitative analysis (market research, financial evaluation, benchmarking)
• Synthesize findings into clear insights and develop recommendation options with supporting rationale and highlight potential risks
Project & Workstream Management
Support the driving of key initiatives while independently managing assigned workstreams.
• Translate high-level direction into structured workplans, timelines and deliverables
• Independently manage smaller-scale projects or defined components of larger initiatives
• Proactively identify risks, gaps and dependencies, and escalate when necessary
• Ensure milestones are tracked and outcomes delivered within agreed timelines
Stakeholder Engagement & Coordination
Drive alignment across relevant stakeholders within scope of assigned initiatives.
• Facilitate working-level discussions to gather inputs, clarify assumptions and drive towards actionable next steps or resolution
• Ensure follow-ups and action items are executed
• Prepare management materials and participate in discussions to articulate insights
Execution & Performance Management
Catalyse implementation post-planning and enable execution of initiatives through problem-solving and performance management..
• Monitor performance indicators and track implementation outcomes
• Identify key issues and assist teams in problem-solving during execution
• Identify improvement opportunities and recommend adjustments
• Maintain documentation and structured reporting
