Job Summary
The HT Chargeman is responsible for leading and supervising TOC chargemen to ensure the safe, reliable, and efficient operation of electrical and mechanical systems within the Data Centre. This role ensures compliance with Energy Commission (EC) regulations, OSHA standards, and company policies while maintaining uninterrupted Data Centre operations. The role includes preventive and corrective maintenance of HT/LV systems and critical infrastructure such as switchgear, transformers, gensets, UPS, cooling systems, and DC rectifiers. The incumbent will also support troubleshooting, emergency response, system upgrades, vendor coordination, and continuous operational improvements.
The Day-to-Day Activities
Lead and supervise TOC chargemen in daily operations and maintenance activities.
Ensure 24/7 operational readiness of critical Data Centre infrastructure.
Perform and oversee preventive and corrective maintenance for HT/LV electrical systems and critical equipment.
Respond to faults, breakdowns, and emergency situations to minimise downtime.
Ensure compliance with safety procedures, Energy Commission regulations, and audit requirements.
Support M&E system upgrades, installations, and infrastructure improvement projects.
Monitor system performance and drive energy efficiency initiatives.
Manage contractors and vendors to ensure work quality and compliance with approved scope.
Maintain accurate maintenance records, reports, and documentation.
Conduct system isolation and re-energisation activities in accordance with approved procedures.
Provide technical guidance and training to junior staff and technicians.
Maintain a valid B0 11kV Chargeman certification and ensure compliance with all regulatory requirements.
