Job Summary
The role is part of the Business Development team within U Mobile. The team’s key role is to define and accelerate U Mobile’s top strategic priorities in driving growth from 5G, emerging market trends and technologies. The team is responsible to identify the new opportunities and develop the strategic plans, anticipating opportunities and risks, and prioritizing initiatives and investments. The team works with management and business leads to define both, the overall growth strategy as well as for specific opportunities – in reference to emerging technologies.

The role’s primary function is to develop key strategies and initiatives with a focus to drive business growth. The role is expected to lead end-to-end strategy efforts independently or with company-wide cross functional leads depending on the scope and complexity of the effort. The strategy efforts can range from developing strategies to address current business challenges to developing strategies to enter new markets, addressing emerging technologies, develop go-to-market plans for new solutions, and supporting strategic investment assessments.
In close alignment with the management team, the role will be instrumental in defining, planning and executing strategic priorities that will set the future growth path for the company

Job Descriptions

  • Ownership for significant portions of strategy development and generate creative, action-oriented insights and recommendations
  • Take a leadership role with company-wide cross functional heads to execute strategic projects and ensure successful outcomes
  • Perform data driven quantitative and qualitative analysis on core strategic issues through research and customer and expert interviews
  • Engage with key stakeholders across business functions to develop recommendations and generate impactful outcomes
  • Author and deliver high-impact presentations and plans to senior management

Job Requirements

Education/ Qualification:

  • Bachelor or Master’s degree in Business, Finance, Economic
Professional Experience:
  • Min. 6-8 years of relevant experience in leading strategy projects at management consulting firms or in a corporate strategy group
  • Experience in strategy consulting firm or corporate strategy function preferred
  • Sound knowledge of telco & media trends and overall market dynamics
  • Proven end-to-end experience in leading and executing a large-scale, company-wide strategy initiatives

  • Proven ability to influence the organization to make strategy happen
  • Proven skills and experience in managing and pitching strategic ideas to C-Suite stakeholders
  • Ability to lead cross-functional teams and proven experience of project management
  • Excellent presentation and verbal and written communication skills
  • Strong analytical and strategic acumen
