Job Summary

  • This role will act as key data support for business partners in marketing division to ensure information is available for analysis and reporting in timely manner.
  • This role is also instrumental in understanding data, business requirements and develop suitable model to ease the use for analytics.
  • To be resourceful and independent in exploring and identifying new data sources and also better way to optimize data extraction.
  • To help to streamline redundant or repetitive work which deemed to be time consuming and labor intensive in the team to further increase productivity.
  • To be able to exercise sound judgement when analyzing and interpreting data to ensure a high level of accuracy and timeliness.
  • To support additional ad-hoc cross-functional data analytics task / project, as and when required.
  • The role’s challenge lies primarily in the breadth of its accountabilities, requiring significant commercial agility, a nose for inconsistencies, the ability to get the right data & accurate for business insight, and the presence to support senior management for making timely commercial decisions.


Job Responsibilities
[1] Data Support
• Support others with related to information required for reporting or analysis work.
• Support the teams in embarking on Big Data journey by providing guidance to others in promoting the use of the new platform.
• Explore new data sources and design data model for to correlate the data to be ready for consumption.
• Support Analysts in developing Power BI as part of vision to make information more timely for decision making.
[2] Analytical Support
• Take ad-hoc required on data analytic request to facilitate on demand enquiries or .
• Support in financial assessment (FA) for the new product launch, this including performing the market research, consumer behavior and competitive analysis
• Develop Power BI to help on speedy analysis on market / business trending

Job Requirements
•Minimum 5-8 years of working experience in a similar role
•Strong commercial and business acumen, analytical, decision making and problem-solving skills.
•A good team player and self-starter with excellent communications and interpersonal skills.
•Ability to multi-task and adapt rapidly to shifting priorities and dynamic environment.
•Able to articulate/understand data relationship with ERD diagram.
•Have a high threshold for ambiguity and maintain professional demeanor under pressure
•Strong analytical skills and pay attention on details
•Experience with dashboard development and data reporting, managing and maintaining business intelligence tools such as Power BI and Tableau
•Knowledge in telecommunication industry will be an added advantage.
•Experience in doing ETL using SQL
