Job Purpose:

• Assistant Principal Engineer for Virtual Infrastructure, new technology and core project management responsible for design, planning , capacity , optimization and solutioning
• To support the onboarding on services on virtual infrastructure
• To support new core technology

Key Accountabilities:

• Lead for engineering work for expansion project
• Servers, orchestration, openstack virtualization , virtual tapping, data center IP network expansion to support the capacity growth of virtual infrastructure to support the capacity of the services onboarded
• Work with IP Core counterpart to ensure vDC design are correct before project starts.
• Support in generating technical documents on what is the required work and design to meet marketing requirements.
• Capacity dimensioning to ensure actual capacity growth is in step with planned capacity
• Take remedial action for any short term deviation, alert if planned capacity needs to be accelerated
• Provide current profile for forecasting usage
• Trouble-shooting of virtual infrastructure
• Support operation on the troubleshooting of virtual infrastructure by providing guidance and references
• Onboarding for new services

Job Requirements:

• A recognized university degree in Electrical/Electronic/Telecommunications Engineering or equivalent.
• Minimum 7years hand-on experience in planning, design and solution in telco/IT with related experience in virtual infrastructure, datacenter , new technology introduction.
• Able to lead a team to deliver solution and capacity to support business growth and provide mentorship to junior engineers.
• Familiar with capacity planning/dimensioning datacenter, openstack, IP (VxLAN, overlay, underlay networking).
