Job Summary

  • To lead day-to-day technical business operation support, and assessment and provide feedback on the solution impacting the overall convergent charging and billing platform/ architecture, ensuring all solutions are complying with the IT framework.
  • To have close coordination and working relationship with the Managed Service vendors to reduce/ resolve the solution gap and manage the cost.
  • To establish business & technical process improvement programs to improve the IT systems deliverable in order to support the business. This includes implementing new monitoring functionalities to ensure product quality & integrity and a good subscriber experience. To lead any complex troubleshooting with the vendors for any complex or major production systems issues

Job Responsibilities
  • Ensuring the vendors meet all production KPIs assigned for operations. This includes contractual and ad-hoc KPIs
  • Develop and implement new monitoring functions to ensure that the convergent system runs with integrity minimizing any subscriber experience issues.
  • Ensuring all products deliverable shall be high on quality and erroneous free. This requires working closely to develop acceptance test cases and identifying bugs.
  • To establish regular communication with the Managed Service vendors
  • To engage with the vendors to come out with the optimum solution that best fits into the current ecosystem
  • To manage the Managed Operation cost by utilizing the best practice development methodology and lifecycle
  • To identify and manage production fixes by vendors
  • Managing vendors to ensure the Operational KPIs are met
  • To lead capacity management of the systems to ensure sufficient capacity is available to support UM business
  • Establishing business & technical process improvement program
  • Improving the convergent related IT systems deliverable to support the business
  • Develop more monitoring functions to manage the system's performance
  • Imparting the products and systems' knowledge with the rest of the teams to empower/ nurture them to become the subject matter expert specialist

Job Requirements

  • Extensive knowledge of concepts of BSS / OSS
  • Extensive knowledge and experience in charging/ rating and billing/ journal ecosystem
  • Extensive knowledge and experience in payment/ recharge ecosystem
  • Extensive knowledge and experience in GSM, 3G / LTE / 5G, and various modern communication protocols; ie. Gy, SOAP, REST APIs
  • Knowledge and experience in Python, primarily on data analytic tools; ie data frame, chart visualization
  • Knowledge and experience in Oracle DB technologies, Linux Operating System, basic IP networking
Added advantages
  • Knowledge in unstructured database technology; ie. Redis, MongoDB
  • Knowledge in micro-services, dockers, automation tools
  • Knowledge of real-time monitoring tools/platforms; ie. ELK stack, Grafana
  • Knowledge in data streaming technology; ie. RocketMQ, Kafka
  • Knowledge of continuous integration and continuous delivery (CICD) framework
