Job Summary:
U Mobile is looking for an experienced communication professional to join the corporate branding and communications team. The role requires the individual to have deep passion for the industry, high levels of creativity, in tune with youth popular culture, strong social and professional network and a lot of hustle. Apart from that, the individual should possess strong project management skills and cross-functional collaboration experience as the role involves a lot of liaison with internal and external stakeholders.

Job Responsibilities:
Corporate Branding
• Contribute to overall brand strategy, including the setting of style guides, brand guidelines, brand vision and value proposition for short as well as long term.
• Contribute and execute consumer engagement strategy for the purpose of raising brand’s reputation and image.
• Planning and execution of brand communications on all channels including online and social media.
• Responsible for proof reading, editing and writing communication materials where necessary.
• Review communication content and ensure they follow the relevant style guides and best practices.
• Ensure campaign briefs and plans are developed with great accuracy for agency partners.
• Support and manage brand collateral development to raise brand profile.

Project Management
• Responsible for day-to-day administrative tasks including but not limited to procurement, admin and budget tracking.
• Propose solutions and provide guidance for the management of branding campaigns & initiatives etc
• Direct team so projects keep to timelines, budgets and goals set
• Motivate and encourage team so that goals set will be achieved
• Oversee and manage brand events and initiatives to ensure smooth execution within specified timeframe and timeline

Corporate Communications
• Contribute to overall corporate strategy providing specialised communications input as required.
• Provide guidance to team on communication development process e.g. tonality, medium
• Evaluate what needs to be included in communications collaterals e.g. briefing materials, releases and ensure that the relevant facts and details are captured accurately within the time -frame set
• Responsible for proof reading, editing and writing communication materials where necessary
• Review communication content and ensure they follow the relevant style guides and best practices
• Identify relevant channels for communication material so that relevant audiences will be effectively reached
• Lead team so that corporate messages are articulated with consistency and accuracy through an integrated approach
• Ensure campaign briefs and plans are developed with great accuracy for agency partners
• Ensure day to day communication tasks are completed including material editing/proof reading and the provision of ad hoc advice to colleagues
• Lead research initiatives, setting scope and analysing material to establish insights
• Responsible for providing agency partners with relevant material so that they can develop the material required whether it is communication plans or releases

Stakeholder Engagement
• Oversee the execution of stakeholder engagement initiatives including RSVPs, events and visits
• Responsible for responding to stakeholders queries & requests
• Lead networking sessions with stakeholders
• Proactively seek to build relations with internal and external stakeholders
