Duties & Responsibilities

Job purpose:
Responsible in meeting accounting and reporting timeline mainly monthly, quarterly and yearly requirement. Complete with proper accounting and analysis schedules for both external and internal requirements and compliance to Bank Negara Malaysia, Registrar of Companies. Ensure financial numbers are MFRS compliance.

  • Responsible on monthly, quarterly and yearly closing tasks to be delivered on time with proper and complete schedules, including ensuring audit schedules can be reconciled with no variances noted
  • Prepare and review monthly, quarterly and yearly financial reports and ensure these are completed timely and accurately
  • Perform intercompany, inter-business and inter-divisional checking, prepare and maintain proper schedules for the said transactions and balances
  • Responsible in monitor and prepare the reconciliation for balance sheets and profit and loss items
  • Liaise with external stakeholders ie Group, auditors, tax agents and Bank Negara Malaysia reporting matters
  • Liaise with internal stakeholders ie inter-division including treasury, accounts receivables, accounts payables, planning and budgeting team and business finance
  • Responsible in preparing quarterly accounting BNM reports to be submitted to compliance team, and ensure these are completed timely and accurately
  • Handle year-end audit including preparation of financial statements and supporting in overall audit matters to the Group
  • Provide guidance for junior accounting staff as and when required
  • Any other related duties that may be assigned from time to time by supervisors
