Senior Specialist - Technology Development & Deployment

Duties & Responsibilities
1. Technical Leadership & Management: He/She is responsible for assessing/implementing the technical aspects of projects, ensuring that technology solutions align with business goals, and guiding the technical team in their work. Knowledge of Financial services & products (eg: issuing e-wallet & merchant acquiring) will be a value-added point.
2. Technology strategy and planning: He/She plays a crucial role in contributing and shaping the organization's digital technology strategy. He/She is required to work closely with stakeholders, across departments, to understand business needs and translate them into effective technological solutions. He/She contributes to strategic planning, budgeting, and decision-making related to technology investments and initiatives.
3. Project management: He/She is required to oversee multiple projects simultaneously. The purpose is to ensure successful project delivery by planning, organizing, and coordinating project activities. He/She manages resources, budgets, timelines, and risks, working closely with project teams to ensure projects are completed on time and within scope. To involve in technology projects roll-out, including implementation of new and existing change requests for all Digital Business initiatives especially related to Financial Services.
4. Technical expertise and problem-solving: He/She is expected to possess a strong technical background and expertise in relevant technologies. Their purpose is to provide technical guidance, advice, and solutions to overcome challenges and ensure the successful implementation of projects. He/She contribute their expertise to troubleshoot technical issues, assess risks, and make informed decisions upon the agreed discussion outcome.
5. Collaboration and stakeholder management: He/She works collaboratively with various stakeholders, both internal and external. The purpose is to build and maintain strong relationships with other teams, senior management, clients, vendors, and industry partners. He/She is to facilitate effective communication, manage expectations, and ensure alignment between technical solutions and business needs.
6. Continuous improvement and innovation: He/She shall strive for continuous improvement and innovation within as an individual as well as with the teams and the organization. He/She needs to identify areas for optimization, explore new technologies and methodologies, and encourage a culture of innovation. They stay updated on industry trends and best practices, seeking opportunities to enhance processes, efficiency, and productivity.
7. Product Design & Development - involved in implementing new digital business initiatives as well as in designing digital products and services that solve both conventional and complex business solutions. Participate and contribute actively in the solutioning phase and work closely with stakeholders to ensure business requirements are being delivered within the acceptance criteria with minimum hindrance.
8. Project Management, Execution & Delivery – He/She is required to manage end-to-end solutioning efforts, which may include requirement definition, feasibility study, scoping, design implementation and product testing. He/She is required to manage the development, on-going review, and monitoring of the overall detailed project plan and to ensure the visibility of any conflicts, risks, and issues, including mitigation/resolution, that may impact on project delivery.
9. Technology Evolvement & Stacking – He/She is required to appreciate, drive & lead the architecture of areas of responsibility in line with the digital eco-systems view & needs. At times, he/she is required to produce high-level architecture design and user journey flow as part of the technology assignment.
10. Research & Technical Evaluation – He/She must be able to perform independent technology research in an effective manner and produce a recommendable proposal or suggestion to the team and the organization in order to support/contribute to the strategy planning.
11. Continuous Improvement: He/She is accountable for driving continuous improvement within the team and the organization. This includes identifying areas for process optimization, efficiency gains, and quality enhancements. He/She may be accountable for implementing best practices, adopting new technologies, and fostering a culture of innovation and learning within the team.

Job Requirements
* Bachelor’s Degree with CGPA 3.0 & above in Computer Science/ IT Technology/ Software Engineering or relevant discipline.
* At least 8 years & above of relevant working experience in digital business environments including financial services, digital ecosystem & digital channels development (eg: mobile app & web).

They should have a deep understanding of the technologies and tools used within the organization and be able to provide guidance, constructive feedback and support to the team.

He/She should have the ability to collaborate effectively, build strong relationships, and foster a positive team environment. Being able to facilitate teamwork and resolve conflicts is also essential.
c) Critical thinking: He/She should possess strong problem-solving and critical thinking skills to identify and analyze issues, explore alternative solutions, and make informed decisions. The ability to think strategically and creatively is highly valued.
d) Integrity and ethical conduct: Ethical behavior and integrity are fundamental qualities for any manager. He/She may need to handle sensitive information and make important decisions that impact the organization. Demonstrating professionalism, honesty, and ethical conduct is crucial for building trust and maintaining credibility.
e) Posing strong business acumen with the fundamental understanding or experience in the IT architecture design, IT operation, business analysis capability, solution architecting with software development background in digital Fintech & telecommunication industry would be a value-added point in this aspect.
f) Experience & knowledgeable with the fundamentals on financial services cyber security, and PCI-DSS compliance.
g) Experience & knowledgeable with the project management framework, eg: Agile SCRUM and SDLC.
